Crating/Packing
STG offers several packaging and containerization options in order to ensure that each piece is crated to withstand the most difficult parts of the journey. Our crating services include lagging of cable reels, cradles and saddles, and shipping skids with tie downs, as well as open frame, plywood, or reusable crates. We can also provide heavy duty wooden modular crates and boxes.
Vacuum Packing
Also known as vapor packing or barrier bag packing, this crating method purposefully creates a water-vapor-proof enclosure. Clearly ideal for storing water-sensitive materials, but also very effective for long-term storage purposes. Vacuum packing is available for all methods of transportation – ground, air, and ocean.
Industrial Shrink Wrapping
Shrink wrapping is not just for kitchens. A very formidable and flexible packing method, this polyethylene plastic tightly shrinks and becomes more durable when heated. Once contoured to the cargo, shrink wrap provides solid protection from moisture and debris. When installed correctly, shrink wrap is even capable of effectively sealing large or more cumbersome objects.
Hazardous Materials (Crating)
Crating dangerous material requires extreme precaution and considerable knowledge. STG can make sure all aspects of handling your hazardous materials are performed properly. Safety and health are always our first priority. From certification, documentation, and packaging to marking and labeling – STG has all the resources you need to assemble an expert-class Haz-Mat team to mobilize your high-risk cargo.
Export
Just because you’re exporting to a country that’s foreign doesn’t mean shipping needs to be. STG makes sure all exports are sent ISPM 15 compliant. If requested, we can have letters of certification accompany all shipments. Don’t risk your cargo getting caught in overseas customs or worse, returned on your own dime. Go STG and worry less.
